CO2 Fire Extinguishers

CO2 Fire Extinguishers are specially designed to suppress fires using carbon dioxide gas. They are highly effective in environments where electrical equipment and flammable liquids are present. Because carbon dioxide is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and leaves no residue, these extinguishers are ideal for protecting sensitive equipment and areas where cleanup after fire suppression must be minimal.

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is stored inside the extinguisher as a liquid under high pressure. When discharged, it rapidly expands into gas and works by displacing oxygen around the fire, effectively suffocating the flames and stopping the combustion process. This method quickly controls fires without damaging nearby machinery or electronics.

CO2 fire extinguishers are primarily used for Class B fires, which involve flammable liquids such as petrol, oil, paint, and solvents, and Class C fires, which involve electrical equipment and wiring. They are commonly used in offices, server rooms, laboratories, electrical panels, and industrial facilities where sensitive apparatus requires reliable and residue-free fire protection.
